On behalf of the Republican Party of the United States Virgin Islands, National Committeeman Jevon O.A. Williams issued the following statement on the 15th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks:
“Let us put politics aside and come together, not as Republicans or Democrats but as Americans, to remember all of our fellow Americans who died, were injured or lost loved ones in the terrorist attacks of 9/11. We must also remember the heroes—the first responders, firefighters, police officers, soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, guardsmen—who have courageously put country before self.”
Williams, a sergeant in the Virgin Islands Army National Guard, has served on tours of duty in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kosovo. He is the Republican nominee for St. Croix District Board of Elections.
