Instead of taking her role as the member of Congress for the Virgin Islands seriously, Del. Stacey Plaskett mocked an official congressional hearing on the FBI investigation into presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s use of a homebrew email server during her time as secretary of state.
“Congresswoman Plaskett is putting her political allegiance to Secretary Clinton and party bosses ahead of ensuring that national secrets and other sensitive classified information wasn’t obtained by hostile nations,” said Republican Party Chairman John Canegata. “Whether you’re a Democrat or Republican, the facts are clear: The FBI determined Secretary Clinton was untruthful about her use of a homebrew email server.”
Plaskett mocked the Thursday morning congressional hearing with FBI Director James Comey in a post on her official, taxpayer-funded Twitter channel.
Comey deemed Clinton’s conduct to be “extremely careless.” He further stated “hostile” and “sophisticated adversaries” most likely had access to her email messages.
Plaskett has endorsed Clinton for president.
