VIGOP Offers Reward For Info Leading to Arrest and Conviction of Weekend Rape Suspect or Suspects

Chairman John Canegata announced that the party is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any credible information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Saturday night’s rape incident, that occurred on the east end of St. Croix.

“As a father of a daughter, this has hit home for me. I’m going to do everything I can to find the individual or individuals who committed this horrid assault” said Canegata. “Till justice is served I remain committed to using every resource at my disposal to assist our law enforcement authorities in this investigation,” said Canegata.

Chairman John Canegata went on to say, “I am proud of the officers of the Virgin Islands Police Department for the way they have handled the investigation so far.” Canegata said, “In troubling times like these, it is now, more than ever before important for Virgin Islanders to come together, I continue to pray for the victim and the family and humbly ask that every Virgin Islander does the same.”
